Our Southwest Desert horse pasture mix is specifically designed to withstand the hot, dry climate of southeastern California, southern Nevada, Arizona and southwestern New Mexico. This mix contains grasses and legumes that are both nutrient-dense and palatable, and will tolerate the heavy grazing common of horses. This mix produces a pasture that will contain approximately:
- 60% Bermudagrass;
- 15% Crested Wheatgrass;
- 15% Tall Fescue (endophyte free);
- 10% White Dutch Clover.
